20 Gratitude Prompts for your Morning Routine
One of the easiest ways to start your Gratitude practice is to have a list of prompts to get you thinking about the moments in life that you can feel grateful for. It’s common to struggle in the beginning on what to include, but the more you practice the more you notice the big, and little things, that happen in your day that you can feel so thankful for.
First up, let’s talk about gratitude. Practicing gratitude is a proven way to have a healthier mind and healthier outlook on life.
Picture a time in your life where you were feeling incredibly negative about something. Perhaps you were going through something extremely tough, or perhaps you were just feeling unhappy with your current life situation. These negative thoughts would crop up continuously in your mind. The more your mind was feeding itself these negative thoughts, the more your mind regurgitated this negative thinking.
It’s simple. Negativity feeds negativity. Positivity feeds positivity.
Why a morning routine?
One of the best times to practice gratitude is first thing in the morning. It’s the time in the day where we are most impressionable to our thoughts and our actions. It’s the time to set up your day for positivity and positive thinking. And because we believe in practicing with simplicity, we recommend spending 5 minutes or less on your gratitude practice – so easily slotted into everyone’s morning routine.
But don’t worry if you miss out on that morning routine, you can easily practice on-the-go gratitude. Practice actively feeling present and aware in the moment of what you are feeling grateful for.
Make a mental note of that moment!
To help you achieve your daily gratitude practice we’ve put together a list of 20 gratitude prompts that you can refer to for inspiration.
